Of Europe Cup and Travel Magazines

Dear Travel Companies,

Last night, my housemates and I were watching the pre-European Cup programs on TV. The show features 3 Chinese nationals roaming the European Cup event areas, showing the places and the exited Europeans preparing for this event. Seeing how happy those Chinese were in their travels and the fact that they’re traveling for free and were being paid for that only made us really so envious. Simultaneous exchanges of “I also want to do that” and “I wish I were them” would be observed.

And doesn’t want to be like that?

I hope someday, a travel company or travel magazine on TV would give me a similar job where I could experience those monstrous European river cruises and all.

Sponsors, here I am ;-)

Pautot ni Buraot » The Fast and the Spurious

Dear BURAOT,

Unfortunately, there has been an electrical fire at the data center housing Entrecard’s servers. The servers have not been damaged, but the site may be down for as long as 12 hours.

Entrecard is hosted with ThePlanet, and this fire has effected over 9000 websites, as many of the world’s most popualar websites are hosted with ThePlanet. They are working around the clock to get their data center back online, and we are hoping that they get it back online fast.

Malay ko ba naman kaseng hindi ka naman pala sa ThePlanet nagparegister ng domain mo no.

Anyhoo, kailangan ko ng bagong laptop kaya sasali ako sa pautot mo. Ayan, napili ko nga ang pautot mong The Fast and the Spurious.

Ayus ba repakols?

Mabilis ba sa alas-kwatro,

Stupid as a stupid does

Dear Cyber-species,

Tim has only proven once again how stupid he is.

The issue is dead and since he can’t even get a single penny for his stupid scam hoax, he’s trying to revive his false allegations with a more ridiculous act of stupidity.

And what’s with the colors?

ROFL,

Memoirs of a “GEISHA?”

Dear Fans,

I am looking for a wallpaper from the 2005 Movie Memoirs of a Geisha when suddenly I thought I’d like to watch the movie. I haven’t watched it yet so I took the liberty of looking for it in a China-based movie hosting site. Surely I found several versions of the movie including a very strange one. I’m not sure if it’s a spoof or something and I’m also unsure which country it was shot though the “Geisha” character looks similar to that Yakult commercial.

Here’s the link to the preview of the movie. Click it at you own risk.

Confused,

Offline with Jessica Zafra

Dear [Insert your name here],

We lost our internet connection at home during the weekends. Until this morning, before I left the office, there’s still no connection. I remember when we moved in to this new apartment, we also didn’t have internet connection for two days and during those two days I was almost able to finished reading Twisted Travels by Jessica Zafra. And why I wasn’t able to finish the book? Because when it came to the second to the last part where she wrote about her travel in Prague, she began to embed photos on the pages. I’m not sure why but when it comes to reading JZ, I expect not to see pictures. Probably because she has some dislike for taking pictures during her travels and seeing one makes me wonder why one existed.

Anyway, I still love Jessica Zafras style in writing. Merely reading her works somehow makes you feel exactly how she felt things at that very moment. Try reading one of her Twisted Series and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

I have finished reading The 500 People You Meet in Hell but I wasn’t exactly overjoyed. I’ll blog the details later.

Yours,

Kotsengkuba
