To express grief and condolences to the families who have lost their loved once due to the recent 7.6 magnitude earthquake that hit Sichuan Province, websites from the Chinese portals have changed their pages’ colors to grayscale. Sina, CCTV and the rest of the websites would now be browsed in grayscale. Movie hosting sites like 56.com and TOM365 were not only in grayscale but the movies are also not accessible. I believe it would be a three-day observance which started Monday (5/19) at 2:28PM (GMT +8) – exactly a week after the tragedy.

On that exact time, the whole China has spent three hours of silence following the commiseration of the fatal earthquake.
